About This Wine

From Mauro Veglio, the La Morra estate known for classic single-vineyard Barolo. Gattera is the Menzione Geografica where the winery's story began — where Angelo Veglio bought his first vineyard in the 1960s — a south-facing site dominated by its famous cedar of Lebanon. Aged around 24 months in oak casks in the estate's low-intervention style.

Light ruby red with subtle garnet reflections. A mature, spicy, warm and intense Barolo, with ripe red and dark cherry fruit, camphor and hazelnut notes, framed by taut, fine-grained tannins and the length that rewards cellaring.
