Pork products and dishes can come in many forms, and a wide array of wines may provide ideal matches. A good Beaujolais cru, such as a Moulin-à-Vent or Chiroubles, is both juicy and crisp, and so will match charcuterie as well as fatty, slow-cooked belly pork. Italian Barbera or Alsace and Alto Adige Pinot Noir are all good alternatives. Most grilled pork cuts are great with a rich Chardonnay, or a juicy red such as a Spanish Grenache, or a Californian Syrah.
