Fine and ripe but restrained nose with a mineral quality seeping through from the fresh blackberry and blueberry fruit. Some cigar box and cocoa powder, too. This is quite firm on the palate with tight tannins, delivered in a fresh but caressing mode. Compared with the riper and flavorful 2020, this has more edges, but shows more layers and finesse, too.
