Antinori Tignanello Toscana Rosso | 2023 | 750ml

Tignanello is one of the original Super Tuscans, made by Marchesi Antinori from the Tignanello vineyard in the Chianti Classico area. First released with the 1971 vintage, it was among the first Sangiovese-based reds aged in small oak barrels and blended with non-traditional grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which is why it carries the Toscana IGT label rather than Chianti Classico.

Expect ripe red and black cherry, spice and fine-grained tannin, with the structure to age for many years. Serve with bistecca alla fiorentina, lamb or aged Pecorino. Read the story of the Super Tuscans in our vino italiano guide.
