The 2018 Malbec San Pedro De Yacuchuya is Malbec with a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon from Yacochuya. The wine was aged in barrels for 12 months. Dark violet in the glass with a red hue, it has a delicious nose that takes full advantage of the ripeness of the grapes and the excellent oakiness, featuring flor, mint and bell pepper over ripe plum inside a slightly damp cigar box. Intense and flavorful in the mouth, it has moderate freshness and a terse texture all gently wrapped in a blanket of alcohol. Slightly extractive at the back of the mouth with a very, very long finish.
