H. Billiot Fils Cuvee Laetitia Brut, Champagne, France NV

The NV Cuvée Laetitia is positively stellar. Moreover, it captures the Billiot house style at its very best. Dried pear, ginger, flowers and spice give the Laetitia tons of allure. But what I like most about this release is a sense of energy that provides striking cut to play off the natural richness of Ambonnay. Much of that comes from the presence of Chardonnay in the blend as well.
