'Les Grands Épenots' ranks among the two finest premier crus of Pommard, yielding robust, structured, age-worthy Pinot Noir. The 2020, from a benchmark Côte de Beaune vintage, is full-bodied and firmly tannic, with black cherry, raspberry and spice over an earthy, savory core and a long, persistent finish — powerful and built for the cellar, generous after a good decant. Drink now (decanted) through the late 2030s. 13.5% ABV. Serve at 60–63°F. Pairs with roasted meats, game, duck, and strong cheeses.
