The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeots 1er Cru (Rouge) comes across quite reduced on the nose – I’m not sure if it has the charm of the straight Chassagne Rouge. The palate is medium-bodied with sour cherries on the entry and moderate depth, yet it attenuates quite sharply on the finish.
