Organic, biodynamic Crémant from one of Alsace's greatest estates — 93 points, traditional-method finesse.

Domaine Albert Mann, in Wettolsheim near Colmar, is one of Alsace's most esteemed estates — run by the Barthelmé brothers, farmed organically and biodynamically. Their Crémant d'Alsace Extra Brut is a traditional-method sparkling built mainly on Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois with a touch of Riesling: complex, dry, and full of personality. James Suckling scored the 2022 93 points.

A biodynamic grower Crémant from a top Alsace house is Champagne-method quality for far less. Organic/biodynamic, top estate, extra brut, 93 pts → fine mousse, complexity, personality → you're drinking serious traditional-method sparkling.

  • Pinot Blanc / Auxerrois-based (with Riesling)
  • Crémant d'Alsace — Alsace, France
  • Domaine Albert Mann — Barthelmé brothers, organic/biodynamic
  • Extra Brut · 93 pts James Suckling

Citrus, pome fruit and white flowers over gentle toast and brioche with a fine, delicate mousse and a dry, saline finish. Translation: a pure, complex Crémant — orchard fruit and citrus with a delicate toasty depth and a fine, dry sparkle. Personality-filled and endlessly food-friendly.

A biodynamic, 93-point Crémant from a great Alsace estate. Exactly the bottle for an apéritif, smoked salmon, or any celebration.
