A first-growth-caliber Chilean icon — the Rothschild–Concha y Toro Cabernet blend, 98 points.

Almaviva is Chile's most celebrated wine, a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild (Mouton) and Concha y Toro in the Puente Alto zone of Maipo. A Cabernet Sauvignon-led Bordeaux blend (with Carmenère, Cab Franc and Petit Verdot), it fuses French finesse with Chilean power — a first-growth-caliber icon that earned 98 points from James Suckling.

Almaviva is South America's answer to a Bordeaux first growth. Rothschild–Concha y Toro, Cabernet-led, 98 points → powerful yet refined → you're drinking Chile's icon.

Cassis, blackberry and cigar box over pencil shavings, chili chocolate and peppermint with silky, seamless tannins and a very long, refined finish. Translation: a powerful yet refined Chilean icon — cassis and dark fruit with cigar-box, graphite and mint over silky tannins. Seamless and ageworthy; a true first-growth-caliber wine.

An icon Chilean Cabernet blend. Exactly the bottle for prime beef, lamb, or a landmark cellar.
