The wine is a robust version of Nebbiolo with dark, balsamy fruit, elegant tannins and every present bright acidity. Although the wine is immediately recognisable as Nebbiolo it is sufficiently different in texture to the wines of Langhe, being denser on the mid-palate, although you could be forgiven for mistaking this a Barolo from a softer vintage.
