2022 | Armand Heitz Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Maltroie" Blanc | Burgundy | France
A biodynamic 1er Cru Chassagne-Montrachet white — Armand Heitz's tense, mineral "La Maltroie."
Armand Heitz is a rising star of the Côte de Beaune, farming historic family vineyards (some since 1857) biodynamically and with a regenerative-agriculture philosophy. "La Maltroie" is a 1er Cru of Chassagne-Montrachet on clay-rich limestone marl: 100% Chardonnay in a style far from the opulent cliché — tense, pure and mineral, floral and precise, built to age 10–15 years.
A Heitz Maltroie is white Burgundy in a fresh, precise register. Biodynamic rising star, Chassagne 1er Cru, Chardonnay → tense, mineral, pure → you're drinking serious white Burgundy.
