The 2022 draws five blocks from Lewman Vineyard and the western slopes of Bethel Heights, organically grown, aged 11 months in 35% new French oak and bottled unfined. Just 415 cases. Pomegranate liqueur, blackberry jam, Earl Grey tea leaves and earth over generous layers of dark fruit and spice, framed by fine, chalky tannins, mouthwatering acidity and a long, floral, spice-laced finish. Translation: a concentrated, powerful Oregon Pinot — dark fruit with tea-leaf and earthy complexity over chalky tannins and bright acidity. Youthfully shy; give it air and it blossoms.
