The 2020 Nerello Mascalese Frappato is dark and ripe in style, showing crushed plums, sweet herbs and undergrowth. It boasts soft textures, with juicy acidity ushering in a display of blackberries, cherries and balsamic spices. This tapers off a bit short yet cleans up nicely, as inner violet tones fade.
