Delicately perfumed oak and hints of crushed stone mingle easily on the nose of the 2020 Crozes Hermitage les Terres Blanches, a blend of 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne matured in a mix of demi-muids, barriques and tank. It's floral and pear scented, with pineapple as well, imparting ample complexity, while the medium to full-bodied palate is ripe yet focused, with bright beams of citrus, brine and chalk that linger on the finish. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes.
