The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru has an energetic bouquet with red berry fruit, touches of limestone and orange peel, gently unfolding in the glass with fine focus. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a fleshy, grippy opening, plenty of earthy red berry fruit that segues into a peppery and quite persistent finish. Excellent.
