The J&J Archambaud story begins in 1944: founder François Gerbet was one of the liberators of Vosne-Romanée near the end of the war, met local vigneron's daughter Suzette Sirugue, and together they formed the estate in 1946. In 2004 it was renamed J&J after grandsons Jean-Philippe and Jean-Christophe, now the third generation. This is their village Vosne-Romanée — the entry into one of the most prestigious communes on earth.
