About This Wine

A red Barbera d'Alba DOC from Piedmont, Italy, made by Luciano Sandrone. The grape is 100% Barbera from vineyards in Monforte d'Alba and Novello. Grapes are picked by hand and each parcel is vinified separately, then matured 15 months in 500 liter French oak barrels and nine months in bottle.

Luciano Sandrone started making wine in the family garage in the 1970s and now runs the Barolo estate with his son Luca. The estate works only with Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, and every fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts.
