About This Wine

A red Barolo DOCG from Piedmont, Italy, made by Luciano Sandrone. The grape is 100% Nebbiolo from the Cannubi Boschis vineyard in the village of Barolo. The name joins those of Luciano's grandchildren, ALEssia and STEfano. Fermentation is spontaneous, followed by ageing in 500 liter French oak tonneaux and 18 months in bottle. The first vintage was 1985, released as Cannubi Boschis.

Luciano Sandrone started making wine in the family garage in the 1970s and now runs the Barolo estate with his son Luca. The estate works only with Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, and every fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts.
