About This Wine

A red Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from Piedmont, Italy, made by Luciano Sandrone. The grape is 100% Dolcetto from 11 parcels on the highest hills of Barolo, on white limestone soils above 350 to 400 meters. Each parcel is vinified separately and assembled in the Langa tradition, aged in steel and given three months in bottle.

Luciano Sandrone started making wine in the family garage in the 1970s and now runs the Barolo estate with his son Luca. The estate works only with Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, and every fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts.
