Luigi Tecce is one of Italy's most soulful, near-cult growers, working almost in solitude in Paternopoli — one of the highest, coolest corners of Taurasi in Campania. "Puro Sangue" ("Pure Blood") is his Riserva-level bottling from old Aglianico vine-trees on sand, limestone and Vesuvian pumice, fermented in open chestnut vats for 40 days and aged in large botti. The "R20" marks the 2020 Riserva release.
