Ducru-Beaucaillou craft at an entry price — a Haut-Médoc cuvée from the team behind a $250 second growth.

Madame de Beaucaillou is Bruno Borie's Haut-Médoc wine, made in the cellars of the legendary Château Ducru-Beaucaillou — a Saint-Julien Second Growth — as a homage to the women of the Borie family. Sourced from the family's plots outside Saint-Julien and vinified with the same meticulous hand as the grand vin: Merlot-led with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, 12 months in barrel (20% new).

A Ducru-Beaucaillou-made wine at this price is one of Bordeaux's smartest buys. Silky, polished, Borie-crafted → the grand vin sells for $250+ → at $42.99 you're drinking the Ducru style for a fraction.

  • Merlot-led with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot
  • Haut-Médoc — Bordeaux Left Bank
  • Made at Château Ducru-Beaucaillou — Bruno Borie
  • 12 months in barrel; 20% new oak

Creamy blackberry, black plum and morello cherry over cedar, violet, clove and a touch of tobacco, with silky, well-integrated tannins. Translation: smooth, polished Left Bank Bordeaux — dark fruit and sweet spice with the elegance and silkiness of its famous sibling.

Ducru-Beaucaillou style at an everyday price. Exactly the bottle for steak frites, roast duck, or lamb.
