From dry, bush-farmed vines and with no wood contact, the 2015 Groenekloof Sauvignon Blanc was picked a little ripe to reduce any pyrazine elements. It still has fresh gooseberry and nettle scents, with just a touch of asparagus in the background. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry. This is nicely balanced, vivacious and citrus-fresh with a taut, almost steely finish that begs another sip. This is a well crafted Sauvignon Blanc.
