NV | Benanti 'Contrada Cavaliere' Etna Rosso | Sicily

I loved the 2022 Etna Rosso Contrada Cavaliere, which pours a jeweled ruby color and opens to pure, ripe fruit of candied cherries, scorched earth, fresh flowers, and salty earth. The tannins are grippy, and the angular feel suggests it could almost pass for a Barolo in structure. Pure and inviting, it’s long on the palate, with a saturating saltiness and pure ripe fruit.
