The 2023 Grüner Veltliner Klostersatz is from four parcels planted in the 1970s on heavier alluvial soils and was partially fermented in wood. Lovely yeast, slight pepper and supple nuttiness on the nose lead to a serene, smooth, yeasty palate with a bright citrus core. This is ripe, flowing and smooth but edged with lovely lemon. That mid-palate quietly grows on you with its supple savoriness.
