2021 | Bodegas Queirón Mi Lugar Tempranillo Blanco | Rioja | Spain
A rare grape found nowhere else on earth — Tempranillo Blanco from a high-altitude organic Rioja estate.
Bodegas Queirón is the Pérez family estate in Quel, Rioja Oriental, farming high-altitude vines (600–800m) transitioning to fully organic. "Mi Lugar" is their first white — made from Tempranillo Blanco, a natural mutation indigenous and exclusive to Rioja, only permitted since 2007. It's a village wine (Vino de Municipio) and an homage to Quel itself: aromatic, distinctive and genuinely one of a kind.
A wine from a grape that exists nowhere else is a true conversation piece. Tempranillo Blanco, high-altitude, organic → a variety exclusive to Rioja → you're drinking something you literally cannot get anywhere else.
