A high-altitude Douro white from ancient vines — indigenous grapes, fresh, mineral, and ageworthy.

From Cristiano van Zeller — 14th-generation Douro — VZ White is a blend of indigenous Douro white grapes (Viosinho, Rabigato, Códega, Gouveio, Arinto) from a roughly 70-year-old parcel at around 500m in the Murça district. High altitude and old vines give it freshness, minerality, and real aging potential — proof that the Douro makes serious whites, not just reds and Port.

An old-vine, high-altitude Douro white is one of Portugal's most underrated wines. 70-year vines, 500m, native grapes → fresh, mineral, ageworthy → you're drinking the Douro's white-wine secret.

  • Indigenous blend — Viosinho, Rabigato, Códega, Gouveio, Arinto
  • Douro DOC — Murça (~500m), Portugal

  • ~70-year-old vines · high altitude

Citrus, orchard fruit and white flowers over a fresh, mineral palate with bright acidity and a saline, textured finish. Translation: a fresh but textured white — citrus and orchard fruit with a mineral, saline depth and lively acidity from old high-altitude vines. Distinctive, food-loving, and built to age.

A high-altitude old-vine Douro white. Exactly the bottle for shellfish, grilled fish, or anyone who thinks the Douro is only reds.
