La Totora is a plot of just under half a hectare (about 3,500 square meters of vines), planted at about 1,550 meters above sea level, in Paraje Hilario. It is a vineyard on a parral of more than 60 years. This year the wine was fermented with 50% stems and is aged for eight months in concrete eggs, without passing through barrels. This is a very fine, very subtle expression of criolla chica, a grape also known in Chile as a country, or listán prieto from the Canary Islands. Abundant in red fruits, it also offers notes of spices and herbs together with earthy notes that expand in the mouth with energy. The texture is firm, tense, with fine and sharp tannins and acidity that vibrates on the palate. A wine with long flavors, great freshness and tension.
