The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Goulots 1er Cru is 50% whole bunch with 35% new oak (Raymond cooperage). It conveys more fruité on the nose of red currant and cranberry, although I find more terroir expression on the La Perrière this year. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins, taut and spicy from the oak, and integrated with a grippy finish.
