Fermented with selected and native yeasts in 8-17 ton closed-top stainless steel tanks. Native malolactic fermentation occurred in barrel, followed by 8 months in French & American oak (~ 20% new). The wine was bottled unfined & unfiltered. The wine's rich, dark purple color confirms the aromas of luscious, ripe plum, black cherry, espresso, and cigar box that leap from the glass. The mid-palate is juicy, but full-bodied at the same time, with smooth tannins that carry the raspberry, red licorice, and chocolate flavors through to a lengthy finish.
