Verdejo is mainly known for its aromatic, refreshing version. However, not in this case. Here we are dealing with a solid verdejo, fermented in barrels with a capacity of 500 liters. The wine is also in contact with the yeast for nine months, which undoubtedly contributes to its rich structure. Rueda's continental climate and temperature differences between day and night are the secret to the balance between the sweetness and acidity of the verdejo. The wine is made from grapes from prephylloxeric vines, over 115 years old (from the 'Chapirete' plot). Intense yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe fruit are felt in perfect balance with toasted oak and spices. A very deep wine, unobvious, and at the same time delicate and silky, with lots of aromatic nuances and a long finish. Perfect as an aperitif with Iberian ham, nuts and soft cheeses, smoked fish or poultry.
