This is velvety in texture with cooling acidity to balance its opulently ripe black fruits and sweet inner herbal tones. It leaves a coating of fine tannins, as hints of salted licorice and violet inner florals linger incredibly long. The 2019 Maharis is a big wine to be sure, yet harmonious. That said, it could use a year or two of cellaring to ease its structural heft.
