The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Vielles Vignes, taken as a barrel sample, has a backward nose that was difficult to read at the moment. However, the palate is vibrant and slightly viscous in texture, with another impressive bead of acidity that foments tension. Of course, it's very primal at the moment, but there is a dab of licorice emerging on the finish that I find intriguing.
