Juicy, ripe and slightly dusty, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Heaven Hills offers hints of oak with subtly spiced dark red and black fruit tones. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is balanced on the palate with food-friendly tannins and soft umami notes. The Cabernet concludes with a delightful, lingering finish that I would expect to find in a wine of twice the price. The wine was fermented and aged for a year in French barrels. I am genuinely shocked that this is selling for less than $20. Put this on your list for your holiday purchases. Bravo!
